A thoriated tungsten electrode for DC TIG welding, in 1.6mm, 2.4mm and 3.2mm.
Strike a stable, easy-starting DC arc with a thoriated tungsten electrode. Thorium content gives excellent electron emission and a long taper life, which is why thoriated tungsten remains a common choice for DC TIG welding on steel and stainless steel.

Match the electrode diameter to your collet and collet body, and to your amperage — a larger diameter tungsten handles higher current before it starts to ball or spit. Thoriated tungsten suits DC welding; for AC aluminium work, look at a zirconated electrode instead.
