Description

Get a stable AC arc for aluminium and magnesium TIG welding with a zirconated tungsten electrode. Zirconated tungsten resists ball erosion better than pure tungsten on AC, which keeps the balled tip shape that AC welding needs for a clean, wide arc.

Match the electrode diameter to your collet and collet body, and to your amperage — a larger diameter tungsten handles higher current before it starts to spit or shed material. Zirconated tungsten suits AC welding on aluminium; for DC steel and stainless work, choose a thoriated electrode instead.
