How do I choose 4m or 5m?

Match the liner length to your BZ501 torch's cable length. A liner that's too short won't reach the contact tip; one that's too long buckles inside the torch. Trim it to the exact length once fitted.

What's included

Ships uncut, ready to trim to length once fitted. It doesn't include a contact tip or gas diffuser — stock those separately using our MIG contact tips (M8 thread for the BZ501).

No. Our colour-coded steel liner covers a wire-diameter range across several torch families. This liner is sized specifically for the BZ501's 4m or 5m cable, with no colour coding. Choose based on your torch model.

Will this liner fit other M8 torches like the MB40?

Confirm before assuming so. The MB40 and MB501 share M8 consumables, but liner length and trim depend on the specific torch and cable, not just the consumable thread. Check your torch model against the stated cable length before ordering.

Is a bare BZ501 MIG torch liner easy to fit myself?

Yes, for anyone comfortable stripping down a torch neck. Feed the liner through from the rear of the torch, trim it to length once through, then reassemble the swan neck and contact tip before checking that the wire feeds smoothly.

Why does my wire feed roughen up over time?

A worn or contaminated liner is a common cause. Debris, rust flakes or metal shavings inside the liner catch the wire as it feeds. Replace the liner if cleaning and blowing it out doesn't restore smooth feeding.

How often should I replace this liner?

Replace it once feeding roughens, the wire starts birdnesting at the feeder, or the liner visibly kinks or clogs. Liners are a wear part on a water-cooled torch just as much as an air-cooled one.
