Steel MIG Torch Liner – Binzel Style
Colour-coded replacement steel liner for Binzel-style MIG torches, 4.5m to 5.5m. Choose by wire diameter and length.
This steel MIG torch liner guides your welding wire from the feed rolls to the contact tip. Choose by colour and length to match your wire diameter and torch cable — blue, red and yellow each cover a different wire range.
What do the liner colours mean?
Blue liners suit around 0.6mm to 0.9mm wire. Red liners suit around 1.0mm to 1.2mm wire. Yellow liners suit around 1.2mm to 1.6mm wire. Match the colour to your wire diameter, not to your torch model — the colour code marks wire size, not fit.
How do I choose the right length?
Pick a liner slightly longer than your torch cable, then trim it to the exact length once fitted. A liner that's too short won't reach the contact tip; one that's too long buckles inside the torch. Confirm your cable length before ordering.
What's included
Each liner ships uncut, ready to trim to your torch's exact length once fitted. It doesn't include a contact tip or gas nozzle — stock those separately using our MIG contact tips.
MIG torch liner FAQ
Is this the same as your BZ501 bare liner?
No. This colour-coded liner covers a wire-diameter range and is trimmed to fit your specific torch. Our BZ501 bare liner is sized specifically to that torch's 4m or 5m cable, with no colour coding. Choose based on your torch model and wire size.
Why does my wire feed roughen up over time?
A worn or contaminated liner is a common cause. Debris, rust flakes or metal shavings inside the liner catch the wire as it feeds, causing inconsistent arc performance. Replace the liner if cleaning and blowing it out doesn't restore smooth feeding.
How often should I replace a torch liner?
Replace it once feeding roughens, the wire starts birdnesting at the feeder, or the liner visibly kinks or clogs. Liners are a wear part — expect to replace one periodically with normal use, not just when something breaks.
Can I use a steel liner for aluminium wire?
No. Aluminium wire is soft and needs a dedicated low-friction liner such as Teflon — a steel liner damages soft aluminium wire as it feeds. See our MB25 Aluminium torch for a Teflon-lined option.
