The Thermamax Griffin PRO-TIG 200 AC/DC provides DC, DC pulse, AC and AC pulse TIG modes, plus MMA. AC output gives the cleaning action normally required for TIG welding aluminium, while DC covers steel and stainless work.
Digital control across the weld cycle
Adjust initial, peak, base and crater current; AC and pulse frequency; upslope and downslope; gas pre-flow and post-flow; and spot-weld time. Five parameter groups let operators organise settings for different welding tasks.
Workshop kit with foot control
The 2026 supplier list identifies an earth cable, 26 trigger TIG torch, Phoenix flowmeter and foot control. An argon cylinder, tungsten electrodes, filler rods and PPE are not listed as included.

Yes. The official Thermamax material describes AC/DC TIG operation for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
What is the difference between this and the TIG200P DC Pulse?
The PRO-TIG 200 adds AC TIG and AC pulse TIG for aluminium, broader digital parameter control and a 27kg workshop chassis. The TIG200P is a lighter 6.13kg DC-only pulse TIG machine for steel and stainless work.
Does it have high-frequency start and pulse?
Yes. The official brochure lists high-frequency or contact ignition, DC pulse TIG and AC pulse TIG.
What comes in the listed kit?
